Spring is viewed as a golden time to dig, plow and sow. Artist Yang Yexin welcomes people to join a search for gold at his ongoing performance project, Golden Grains Rush, at the Spring-Time Contemporary Art Research Center in Beijing.

Up until May 25, people can enter the space where the ground is covered with grains, and Yang will from time to time walk around and drop to the ground tiny small gold particles, crafted to resemble grains.

It will take good eyesight, patience and also luck to distinguish the gold grains from the real ones. If successful, the visitors can keep the gold ones.

Curated by Wang Chunchen, the project continues Yang's creative attempts, which, through playful performances that sometime invite bystanders to participate for fun, urge people to examine overconsumption and the pursuit of profit inherent in human nature.
