Old-fashioned TV sets, bicycles and cameras, objects that may look totally alien to the under-30s, take visitors back to the 1980s and '90s at Unfinished Time, an ongoing exhibition at Beijing's Taikang Art Museum.

The aim is not to immerse visitors in nostalgia. Instead, dozens of paintings and installations from the museum's collection are also on display, accentuating the innovative spirit of an era that inspired people to create, work hard, and to keep going, despite the hardships.
