During a recent visit to Indonesia, Zhang Yinjun, president of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, announced the establishment of a Maternal Love Academy in the country.
This academy is dedicated to empowering marginalized mothers by providing psychological counseling, skills training and family reintegration support to those from vulnerable communities.
Zhang's itinerary included stops in Jakarta and Bali, where she engaged in a series of philanthropic initiatives. Her journey commenced at the Cisarua Refugee Karate Club, where she launched the One Book, One Love program to support refugee children. Subsequently, she visited the Kartini Emergency School, a grassroots initiative that offers education to homeless youth. In Bali, Zhang met with disabled artist Winda Karunadhita to discuss art-based empowerment and toured Denpasar's House of Hope, a leading center for disability inclusion and vocational training.
During this six-day visit, the foundation also advanced its global outreach efforts, actively supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with a focus on key objectives including quality education, gender equality, reduced inequalities, and strengthened global partnerships.
