SinoEV Powertrain expands global presence, ships over 2m EV batteries

According to data from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center's global auto patent database, SinoEV is among China's leaders in thermal management-related battery patents as of June 2025.

One of its flagship technologies is the BEST high-energy-density honeycomb module, developed for cylindrical cells. After more than a decade of development and thousands of controlled cell explosion tests, the resulting system can withstand cell failures without catching fire. "Even if a cell explodes, the system won't burn," said Wang. "This is what gives automakers peace of mind."

The honeycomb system boasts zero thermal propagation, high-efficiency assembly, and full-weather operability. It is widely regarded as China's first industrialized high-energy-density ternary battery system with zero thermal runaway.

For prismatic cells, the company has also introduced the MUST large multifunctional integrated module, designed with simplicity, high integration, and cost-effectiveness in mind. Wang describes it as "not just a battery, but a platform that adapts to diverse client needs."
