China-US officials hold economic talks

He Lifeng, China's vice-premier and lead for China-US economic and trade affairs held a video call on Saturday morning with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, according to Xinhua News Agency.

The two sides agreed to hold a new round of economic and trade consultations as soon as possible.

They held candid, in-depth, and constructive exchanges on key issues in bilateral economic and trade ties, implementing the important consensus reached between the two heads of state during their phone talks at the start of this year.
