According to Cao Zhiqiang, a department director at the company, the robot addresses critical safety challenges.
"Traditional high-voltage transformer testing required workers to operate at heights exceeding 10 meters, exposing them to significant risks of falling and electric shocks. Our robot allows personnel to operate remotely from the ground, eliminating these risks," he said.
The host city of Hengyang, a traditional industrial base, is striving to position itself at the forefront of China's metrology industry.
The Hengyang Intelligent Weighing Apparatus and Metrology Industrial Park, launched in February last year, has attracted 36 enterprises, including seven publicly listed companies. In collaboration with leading academic and research institutions, such as the National Institute of Metrology, the National University of Defense Technology, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the park is dedicated to the commercialization of technologies like intelligent inspection robots and high-end mass spectrometers.
