Indonesian village heads gain from China's rural revitalization practices

Zeky Hamzah, head of Tepian Langsat village in East Kalimantan, observed that Chinese villages place strong emphasis on education, vocational training, and infrastructure development.

'Positive cycle'

He described a "positive cycle" in which governments at all levels — village enterprises, agricultural cooperatives, and local conglomerates — work together to drive economic growth, strengthen governance, and improve social welfare.
