Recessive genes result in Caucasian appearance for Jiangsu girl

Netizens have recently flocked to the social media account of a Chinese couple in Jiangsu province who gave birth to a daughter who looks like a Caucasian with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Videos on their account showcase the couple's typical Chinese appearance, but their 3-year-old daughter, Xiao Guojiang, or Little Jam, appears to be from an entirely different ethnicity, despite speaking fluent Mandarin.
Earlier this year, the family appeared on a TV program, where they explained that the child's great-grandfather was Russian, making her of partial Slavic descent.
Yang, the child's mother, explained that at birth, her daughter didn't differ much from other babies, except for her notably large eyes. After turning one, her eyelashes grew longer, and her irises became increasingly blue.
Yang later discovered that her husband's grandfather was Russian, with some distant relatives still residing in Serbia. The men in her husband's family display Slavic traits like more body hair, aquiline noses, and fair skin, though not prominently. It wasn't until Little Jam, the first girl in the family line, was born that the recessive traits revealed themselves in full.
Yang said that due to her daughter's unique appearance, she attracts considerable attention and discussion, though she doesn't quite understand or care about it at her age.
The mother added that the family tried teaching Russian to Little Jam, but the girl has not yet shown any talent in that area. Whether the girl learns it in the future will depend on her interest.
