Former senior official at State Council body under investigation

Pan Liang, a former ministerial-level official at the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China's cabinet, is being investigated for suspected severe violations of Party disciplines and national laws, the country's top anti-corruption agencies said on Friday.
The investigation announcement has been disclosed by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision online, with no further details released.
Public information showed that Pan, 69, a native of Jiangsu province, started his career in April 1975. He once worked at the ministry of aerospace industry and the general office of the State Council. Later, he became vice-chairman of the supervisory board for key State-owned enterprises.
