China's national railway network handled a record 4.28 billion passenger trips from January to November, a 6.6 percent increase from last year, according to China State Railway Group. This growth is attributed to expanded transport capacity to meet rising travel demand.

The network operated an average of 11,258 passenger trains daily, a 7.1 percent increase year-on-year. Cross-border services also saw enhancements, with stable operations on international routes to Vietnam, Russia, and Mongolia, facilitating travel and exchanges.

The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link carried 28.94 million cross-border passengers, and the China-Laos Railway transported approximately 244,000. These routes boosted cross-border tourism and strengthened trade ties.

In response to growing demand, China State Railway Group said it planed to further optimize train schedules and service capacity to enhance mobility, economic activity, and regional connectivity.
