Chinese streaming service iQIYI has entered into a strategic collaboration with the UAE's BRIDGE Alliance, marking a significant step in its global content and technology strategy. The agreement was signed at the BRIDGE Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
The partnership aims to combine iQIYI's production capabilities with the Alliance's regional platform to develop and operate film and TV intellectual property for international audiences. A core focus will be the co-production and distribution of content designed to reach wider markets across regions.
Technology development is a key pillar of the deal. The two entities plan to jointly advance virtual production and VR technology to streamline efficiency and create more immersive viewer experiences. They will also establish regular exchanges for media technology research and development, fostering innovation and connecting creative talent between the regions.
The collaboration is positioned as a full-cycle model, linking initial research and development directly to commercial application. The move reflects a broader industry effort to build interconnected media ecosystems that drive commercial growth while facilitating cross-cultural exchange through shared projects.
