BJEV's deliveries jump 84% year-on-year in 2025

BJEV posted a sharp rebound in 2025, with vehicle deliveries surging 84 percent to 209,576 units, underscoring what the subsidiary of State-owned BAIC Group has described as a trajectory of sustainable growth.

The recovery was driven by a dual-brand strategy centered on Arcfox and Stelato. Arcfox, positioned in China's mass-market premium EV segment, delivered more than 160,000 vehicles during the year, extending a streak of sales doubling for a third consecutive year and cementing its role as the company's volume backbone.

Stelato, the company's higher-end electric sedan brand, recorded monthly sales of 10,000 units in December for the first time, setting a record for the marque.

The brand ranked first among new energy sedans priced above 300,000 yuan ($42,896) for the month and placed within the top three overall in China's luxury sedan segment at that price point, supporting BJEV's push further upmarket.

The company also made steady progress in technology in 2025. In December, the Arcfox Alpha S equipped with Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities received regulatory approval from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with a dedicated autonomous-driving license plate in Beijing.

The approval marks a significant endorsement as automakers race to commercialize higher-level driver assistance systems.

Looking ahead, BJEV said it plans to build on the twin drivers of volume growth and technological breakthroughs in 2026, positioning itself as one of China's fastest-growing State-owned EV makers amid intensifying competition.
