The Foreign Ministry on Friday called on relevant parties, especially Israel, to exercise restraint and avoid further escalation following Israel's airstrikes on Gaza that reportedly killed seven people and injured more than 50.
China is deeply concerned about the current situation in Gaza, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Friday at a daily news briefing.
She stressed that China opposes all actions that harm civilians and violate international law, and hopes that the ceasefire agreement in Gaza will be effectively implemented to ease the humanitarian crisis and restore regional stability as soon as possible.
