Winter is the perfect time to taste the mandarin oranges which are currently being harvested in Yongchun county, Quanzhou, Fujian province. The fruit is a daily treat for those living in Fujian and they are currently being shipped to other cities across the country.

Yongchun, which literally translates as "forever spring", has much to offer for those unfamiliar with this mountain-locked, tranquil place.

The warmth and fragrances of Yongchun have now reached Beijing, amid its first snow of the year on Saturday where a promotional event of its history, culture and tourism was held. Domestic and international guests were introduced to its unique arts and culture, such as woven paintings, incense products, tea, food and "white crane" style of martial arts.
