China on Friday urged Lithuania to return to the correct track of adhering to the one-China principle and create conditions for the normalization of bilateral relations.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks at a regular press briefing after Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene said Vilnius made a strategic mistake in allowing the opening of a "Taiwanese representative office" in the capital in 2021.
China has repeatedly made its position on relations with Lithuania clear and that the door to communication remains open, Lin said.
He expressed the hope that Lithuania would translate its willingness to improve bilateral ties into concrete actions, and correct its mistake as soon as possible.
