As Spring Festival approaches, Zhou Hongliang, leader of the Qinling power transmission operation and maintenance team, and his colleagues remain on duty at the 110kV ice melting station in the Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi province. They battle the ice buildup on power transmission lines to ensure the power supply for mountainous areas and the Baoji-Chengdu Railway.
Zhou said, "What others see as cold steel is like family to us."
