During this year's Spring Festival holiday, science museums across China hosted a series of activities integrating culture and technology, attracting more than 3.5 million visitors.
The China Science and Technology Museum introduced activities in four major sections and hosted a themed exhibition exploring the natural and cultural world of horses, which drew 200,000 visitors. Additionally, its electronic resources were made freely available nationwide, with 37 science museums applying to display the exhibition, effectively enhancing the exhibition-planning capabilities of grassroots institutions.
Moreover, science museums across the country tailored their offerings to local conditions, creating unique science popularization scenarios.
For example, the science museums in Hebei combined the specialty New Year paintings of Wuqiang county with scientific experiences. In Heilongjiang, visitors were immersed in exhibitions about zodiac culture while exploring the scientific principles behind the wonders of ice and snow. In Fujian, 54 venues collaborated to offer distinctive activities, such as co-performances of AI robot dogs and traditional shuttlecock kicking, as well as mixed reality dinosaur exhibitions and scripted tour games, drawing in over 350,000 visitors.
