Wang Yi: China, Russia unfazed by external attempts to sow discord

China and Russia, bound by strong political mutual trust, do not fear any external attempts to sow discord or impose coercion, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a news conference on Sunday.

The two major countries have always upheld strategic autonomy, respected each other's core interests, and refrained from imposing their own will or agenda on each other, Wang said, adding that bilateral relations follow the principle of non-alliance, non-confrontation and not targeting any third party

"China and Russia enjoy strong political mutual trust," Wang said, emphasizing that the two countries "share the most strategic consensuses and conduct the closest strategic coordination" on safeguarding international rules and order, among other issues.
