Exploring ancient China: How prosecutors bring ancient melodies back to life

spp.gov.cn | Updated: 2026-03-10 14:51

This video tells the story of how procuratorial organs perform their duties in accordance with the law to protect cultural relics and heritage. After identifying illegal constructions and environmental risks threatening a heritage site, prosecutors carried out on-site investigations, fixed evidence through surveys and documentation and consulted experts to assess the damage.

Through public interest litigation, they urged relevant authorities to remove illegal structures and rectify environmental hazards, paving the way for the restoration of the site.

By combining legal oversight with modern technology and professional expertise, procuratorial organs are helping protect cultural relics and ensure that the legacy of Chinese civilization continues to endure.
