Over 2 dozen train cars derail in US Texas

NEW YORK -- More than two dozen cars of a Union Pacific train derailed Wednesday morning near Houston, US state of Texas, causing an ethanol leak from two of the cars, US media reported.
No injuries were reported, Union Pacific spokesperson Robynn Tysver was quoted as saying by The Washington Post.
The derailment happened about 5 am local time in Richmond, a town about 30 miles (around 48 kilometers) southwest of Houston.
Fort Bend County Fire Marshal Justin Jurek said that two of the derailed cars began leaking ethanol after the accident, but the leaks were later contained.
A third derailed car leaked corn syrup and the leak was also contained, he said.
There was no estimate on how long it would take for the cleanup, Tysver said, adding that the incident is under investigation.
There were major disruptions to traffic around the Richmond area due to the derailment. Multiple agencies were on scene to assist, according to media reports.
There have been no evacuation orders, and crews are identifying the railcar contents and potential hazards.
