Handan celebrates first International Tai Chi Day with performances, workshops

Handan in Hebei province celebrated the first International Tai Chi Day on Saturday, showcasing the diversity of tai chi styles. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The event reached its peak as world tai chi champions led around 1,000 practitioners in a synchronized demonstration.

Additional performances at Handan Road Historical and Cultural District showcased the diversity of tai chi styles with fans, swords, and sticks.

Handan plans to continue hosting these cultural events to promote tai chi globally.
