2 dead, 11 injured in Southwest China road accident

GUIYANG -- A road accident in Southwest China's Guizhou province left two students dead and 11 others injured early Monday morning, local authorities said.

The accident took place around 7 am in Hezhang county, Bijie city. Among the injured, two are in serious but stable condition after being taken to the hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
