Jointly developed by SAIC General Motors Corp Ltd and Shanghai-based AgiBot, the robot represents the deep integration of a benchmark manufacturing enterprise's pursuit of intelligent manufacturing with the technological breakthroughs of a leading embodied intelligence company.

The practice also provides a replicable and scalable model for the industry to explore the extent of humanoid robot application in mass production.

The application of humanoid robots in the battery pack manufacturing process will not only reduce risks associated with electrical operations performed by skilled human workers but also address the limitations of conventional industrial robots, which require large operating spaces but lack sufficient flexibility, according to SAIC Motor.
