The All-China Federation of Trade Unions has launched a nationwide employment initiative for this year, aiming to provide 3 million jobs and serve 3 million job seekers.
According to a post released by the federation on Thursday, the campaign focused on college graduates, migrant workers, and members of families facing financial hardship. It combined online and offline services, including job matching, career guidance, vocational training, and startup support.
Under the plan, local trade unions will bring more companies onto the federation's job platform. Trade unions are also expected to host 3,000 livestreaming recruiting events led by their officials this year.
For graduates, the campaign will feature 2,000 campus-based job fairs. Cooperation between local trade unions in labor-exporting and importing regions will be enhanced to boost employment support for migrant workers. Those in difficult circumstances can expect one-on-one support.
The federation planned to run courses for 1 million people, focusing on care services, advanced manufacturing, and emerging professions.
Local trade unions will also offer mentoring, market access, and resource backing for those with viable business ideas.
