Seeing great growth potential in the Chinese market, the German anchoring system supplier is optimistic about the Chinese market and will keep investing in the country, said its top executive.
Alexander Bassler, CEO of Fischer, said: "The Chinese market is one of the most dynamic and future-focused in the world. The speed at which innovations emerge and are implemented on a large scale is particularly impressive. We see new growth potential primarily in areas such as digitalization, smart infrastructure, sustainable construction and high-tech industries."
"At the same time, demand is rising for high-quality, durable and technologically sophisticated solutions. This opens up excellent prospects for our company. Our fastening and system solutions are used in many modern-day industrial and construction projects and make a valuable contribution to efficient and sustainable solutions," he said.
In March, Fischer expanded and upgraded its existing production base in Taicang, Jiangsu province. The new heavy-duty anchoring product line and structural reinforcement product line have been officially put into operation. The related products will be supplied to the Chinese market from May this year and are planned to cover the entire Asian region from November. Since its operation in 1997, the Taicang factory has been an important production and logistics hub for the company in the Asia-Pacific.
"This renewed investment strengthens our local production and brings us even closer to our customers. At the same time, it is a clear sign of our long-term confidence in the development of the Chinese market," Bassler said.
The company said that expanding its production capacity in Asia is an important measure to enhance customer engagement and strengthen market competitiveness. Especially in the current complex global political environment, the importance of localized production is becoming increasingly prominent.
Bassler said: "China is a key strategic market for our company. The country is not only one of the largest markets in the world, but also a major innovation location. For us, China is thus simultaneously a sales market, a manufacturing base and an important location for research, development and technological cooperation. We pursue a long-term strategy of localization: we invest in local production capacities, establish competence centers, and work closely with Chinese universities, customers and partners."
"At the same time, we also see China as a place of learning. That is why, every year, we send our best apprentices and students, as well as the winners of a company-wide innovation award, on an educational trip to China to gain new perspectives, since we want to learn from the best," he added.
