China urges US to end its hostile policy against Cuba

China urged the United States on Friday to listen to just calls and immediately stop its blockade and sanctions, as well as coercion and oppression of Cuba.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning made the remarks following a recent visit to Cuba by two US lawmakers, who expressed opposition to the US hostile policy against the Caribbean nation.

China stands ready to work with the international community to firmly support Cuba in safeguarding its national sovereignty and security and opposing external interference, she said.
