Russian foreign minister to visit China

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will pay a two-day official visit to China starting Tuesday.

During the visit, the two foreign ministers will exchange views and coordinate positions on the development of bilateral relations and cooperation across various fields, as well as international and regional issues of common concern, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told a regular news briefing on Monday.

In recent years, China and Russia have continuously deepened their permanent good-neighborly friendship, expanded all-round strategic coordination, and upheld mutually beneficial cooperation and win-win outcomes, Guo said.

They have also maintained close communication and coordination on international and regional affairs, making important contributions to promoting a more equal and orderly multipolar world, improving global governance, and safeguarding international fairness and justice, Guo added.
