China welcomes all efforts conducive to the end of hostilities

China welcomes all efforts that are conducive to a ceasefire and the end of hostilities, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday after a 10-day ceasefire deal struck between Lebanon and Israel took effect at the same day.

"We hope all relevant sides could act responsibly to maintain the momentum of ceasefire and negotiation, and settle the disputes through political and diplomatic means," Guo said.
