China promotes cooperation in nuclear technology use

The 3rd International Nuclear Technology Application Conference opened in Beijing on Tuesday afternoon, drawing more than 400 experts, enterprise representatives and government officials from over 20 countries to the three-day event.

At the opening ceremony, the China Isotope and Radiation Association released an initiative calling for the building of an open, inclusive and universally beneficial community to advance nuclear technology applications.

Experts from the China Atomic Energy Authority outlined the country's industrial policies and development status in the field. Xiao Yafei, chairman of China Isotope and Radiation Corp, unveiled the company's integrated nuclear medicine solution. A series of achievements in China's nuclear technology application industry were also announced.

Renowned experts and industry leaders from China and abroad, including Deng Jianjun of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Zhao Hongwei of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered keynote speeches, sharing the latest global progress and achievements in nuclear technology applications.

The initiative aims to foster a new model of international industrial cooperation featuring mutual respect, equity, justice and collaborative development, explore new pathways for global cooperation, and help safeguard a stable, open, safe and reliable global system for nuclear technology applications.

In addition to the main venue, the conference features three parallel sessions focusing on key topics such as isotope research and application, as well as nuclear safety.

More than 60 reports and speeches are expected during the conference, addressing cutting-edge scientific and engineering issues.
