China condemns Japanese politicians' latest Yasukuni Shrine moves

China has issued a strong condemnation of Japan's latest moves in connection with the notorious Yasukuni Shrine. Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said such acts, together with recent negative moves by Japan concerning China's Taiwan region, the World War II history and military security, have seriously undermined China-Japan relations.

Earlier on Wednesday, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi made a monetary offering to the shrine, a symbol of Japanese militarism and wartime aggression, after she offered a ritual offering to the shrine on Tuesday.

Guo said the series of negative moves by Japan regarding the Yasukuni Shrine provoke international justice and brutally trample on humanity's conscience.

Guo insisted that the people of China, as well as the people of all other countries who suffered as a result of Japanese military aggression, and all peace-loving and just forces in the world, will never accept such actions.
