Iranian FM to meet Pakistani PM on regional situation: local reports

ISLAMABAD -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, accompanied by a delegation, is scheduled to meet Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday to discuss the regional situation, local media reported.

The delegation is expected to convey a message from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the meeting, the reports said.

Senior Pakistani military leadership and government officials are also likely to attend the meeting, the reports added.

Araghchi arrived in Pakistan late Friday night with a nine-member delegation and held a meeting with Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir in the early hours of the morning.
