The 16th China International Road Traffic Safety Products Expo closed on Friday in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, highlighting the growing role of AI and intelligent systems in traffic management.
Held under the theme "New Quality Productivity in Transportation, Four Innovations Building Safety", the three-day event spanned 40,000 square meters, with more than 1,800 booths from over 360 exhibitors showcasing nearly 4,000 products.
Technologies on display focused on the digitalization of road safety, including vehicle-road-cloud integration, holographic intersection perception, AI video analytics and digital twin command systems, alongside intelligent law enforcement equipment.
Two industry documents were released at the opening ceremony, including the Blue Book on the Development of Traffic Safety for Intelligent Connected Vehicles (2026) and the Recommended Catalogue of Road Traffic Safety Products and Equipment (2026 Edition).
Launched in 2004, the expo has evolved into a key platform for China's road traffic safety sector, reflecting a broader shift toward data-driven and system-level solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
