Authorities in Changsha, Central China's Hunan province, are making all-out efforts to treat the people injured in Monday's fireworks factory explosion in Liuyang, Changsha, which left 26 people dead and 61 others injured, a local official said at a news conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Of the 61 injured, six are in critical condition, and 55 have mild injuries, said Liu Jiayong, secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Changsha health commission. They are being treated at three Liuyang medical facilities, and 17 medical experts have been mobilized for support.

For the six critically injured patients, medical teams are providing specialized care, including treatment for shock and organ failure. The 55 patients with mild injuries have received debridement and anti-inflammatory treatment, and are in stable condition, Liu said.

The blood supply is sufficient to meet current needs, he added.

The health system will continue to prioritize life-saving efforts by providing precise treatment and following guidelines from national expert teams, while offering psychological counseling to the injured and their families.

A green channel for emergency care has been set up to ensure adequate medical resources, he added.
