Chengdu plans pet-friendly commercial zone on existing flower market

Chengdu itself has emerged as a significant market. Official statistics show that by the end of last year, the city was home to over 5 million pets and more than 2 million pet-owning households. Pet consumption in the city exceeded 18 billion yuan in 2025, ranking first in western and central China.
