Foreign Ministry: China, US in touch regarding leaders' interactions

China and the United States remain in communication on arrangements for interactions between the two heads of state later this year, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Friday.

Head-of-state diplomacy plays an irreplaceable role in providing strategic guidance for China-US relations, Guo said.

Maintaining good communication and interaction between the two presidents is conducive to guiding the stable, healthy and sustainable development of bilateral ties, he added.
