Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is set to embark on his first state visit to China, it was announced on Wednesday.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun, Vucic will arrive in China on Sunday and stay for five days.
Serbia was the first European country to work with China on building a community with a shared future for the new era, and is also an important partner for China in southeast Europe, Guo said.
According to Guo, China is ready to use the visit as an opportunity to consolidate its ironclad friendship with Serbia, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, enrich people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and strengthen coordination on multilateral affairs.
