China reiterates opposition to US arms sales to Taiwan

China's position of firmly opposing US arms sales to the Taiwan region is consistent, clear, and resolute, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Friday.

Guo made the remarks at a daily news briefing in response to reports that a US navy official said on Thursday that some arms sales to Taiwan had been put on pause to ensure the US military has sufficient munitions for operations related to Iran.
