Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Saturday, beginning a four-day official visit to China aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in trade, technology, and investment.
During his stay in Hangzhou, Prime Minister Sharif will attend a business forum aimed at promoting cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese companies under the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, or CPEC.
The prime minister is also expected to witness the exchange of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two sides.
In addition, Prime Minister Sharif will hold meetings with executives of leading Chinese companies and visit the headquarters of Alibaba.
The visit comes as China and Pakistan marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations on Thursday, underscoring what both countries have described as an "all-weather strategic cooperative partnership".
