Changzhou's 'Monet's Garden' blooms with 380 lotus varieties

As the gentle May breeze sweeps through Changzhou, Jiangsu province, the water lilies nestled in the tranquil waters of the city's Heyuan Garden burst into full bloom, evoking the enchanting atmosphere of a Monet painting.

Pink, white, and yellow blossoms stand gracefully on the water's surface, creating a dreamlike scene reminiscent of the famous artist's garden.

Located in the Xinzha township of Zhonglou district, Heyuan Garden was established in 2007 and spans an impressive 12.77 hectares. It boasts over 380 varieties of lotus flowers, and its recent spectacle of blooming water lilies has earned it the nickname "Monet's Garden" on social media.

The prime time to witness this floral marvel is from mid-May to June, with the garden offering free access to visitors. To truly appreciate the beauty of the water lilies, early risers are rewarded, as the best viewing hours are from 9 am to 3 pm each day.
