China dismisses allegation of training Russian troops

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian dismissed a senior European Union diplomat's accusation that China is training Russian soldiers on Tuesday, calling it "groundless".

The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas claimed that the EU has confirmed reports that the Chinese military is training Russian troops to fight in Ukraine.

"The allegations are groundless and nothing but slander and smears," Lin said at a daily press briefing in Beijing.
