China will place 16 substances under control from July 1, according to a decision announced by the Office of the China National Narcotics Control Commission on Wednesday.
The decision was jointly made by the Ministry of Public Security, the National Health Commission and the National Medical Products Administration. The 16 substances will be added to the catalogue of non-medical narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, authorities said.
Tiletamine, one of the substances included in the latest control list, does not cover veterinary anesthetic drugs containing tiletamine that have been approved for marketing in China, according to the decision.
