Advances in artificial intelligence and related technologies are making headlines every day. Their rapid evolution is also reshaping how artists create, present and think of art.

A newly published book brings together the latest research and insights from scholars, curators and artists, examining the profound influence of new technology on artistic creation and presentation, both today and in the future.

At the recent launch ceremony at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, the editors of On Digital-Intelligence Art shared the theories and practices explored in the book, particularly those involving digital technologies and AI. They were joined by scholars, researchers, artists and curators, who offered diverse perspectives on understanding and responding to the transformations taking place in the art world.

Yi Shan, the book's editor-in-chief, said that digital-intelligence art draws on virtual spaces, interactive experiences, generative creation and multimodal digital technologies to develop new artistic languages and systems. He added that traditional and emerging art forms each possess distinct strengths and are likely to coexist and evolve together.
