According to the department, the project will optimize the cross-border trade environments and innovate cross-border financial services via the fruit trade.
Resident ASEAN envoys in China sent video greetings to the event, recognizing the progress made and the great potential for further fruit industry cooperation with Guangxi.
Backed by nine special customs policies, Guangxi ports import 86 types of ASEAN fruits, ranking among China's top provinces for imported fruit diversity. Half of all durians imported to China clear customs in Guangxi.
China Railway Nanning Bureau said Nanning is the country's first railway port for direct import and export of fruit transportation. The upgraded service offers two-hour fast-track customs clearance, with a daily maximum of six fruit trains, meeting rising inbound fresh fruit transport demand.
