Power services support night market economy in Gansu county

State Grid Longxi County Power Supply Company has strengthened electrical safety inspections at local night markets in Longxi county, Gansu province, to ensure reliable power supply during the summer peak season and support the orderly development of the nighttime economy, the company said.

Recently, workers from the company inspected stalls at the night market at Shuyang Yangcheng Square in Shuyang town, Longxi county, to identify potential electrical hazards.

"Please use lighting fixtures and electric fans safely, and switch off the power supply when closing your stalls," a staff member told vendors. Vendors were also reminded to install protective covers for electrical wires to reduce safety risks from vehicles running over them or pedestrians stepping on them.

During the inspection, workers checked lighting facilities, kitchen electrical appliances, leakage protection devices, switches and sockets. They also talked with vendors to learn about their electricity needs, addressed potential risks on site and promoted safe electricity use.

The company has also arranged daytime inspections of power lines and targeted nighttime patrols at night markets to improve power supply reliability in areas with concentrated evening business activity.

The company said it will continue regular electrical safety inspections and strengthen emergency repair preparedness to provide reliable power support for local night market operations.
