China, India preparing for boundary talks: FM spokesman

Beijing and New New Delhi are preparing for the 25th round of Talks Between the Special Representatives of China and India on the Boundary Question, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday.
Guo made the remarks at a regular news conference when asked about the latest communication between the two countries on border-related issues.
China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi to attend the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. On Monday, Wang met with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.
Guo said the current situation in the China-India border areas is generally stable, and communication channels between the two sides on border-related issues remain open.
The two sides are actively implementing the consensus reached at the 24th round of Talks Between the Special Representatives of China and India on the Boundary Question, he said.
