The project has also developed AI-powered tools to support multilingual content production and international marketing. Organizers said the system can generate promotional materials tailored to different markets and digital platforms.
Efforts to expand the industry's global presence are already showing results. Supported by the knowledge base, the project team has built an international social media account matrix from scratch, with which they published 252 posts featuring goji berry cultivation, recipes, and wellness-related content. The accounts have generated nearly 35,000 interactions from non-Chinese users to date.
Since February, content targeting Generation Z audiences has reached more than 1.7 million young people abroad, according to the project team. Organizers said the lifestyle-oriented approach had encouraged growing numbers of international users to create and share their own goji berry-related content, ranging from tea drinks to baked goods.
The initiative has also invited international students in Ningxia from more than 40 countries to visit goji berry plantations and processing facilities so they can experience the industry firsthand and share their stories on social media.
