ASEAN-China short video contest awards ceremony held in Nanning

The fifth ASEAN-China "Friendship and Cooperation" Short Video Contest concluded on Thursday with an awards ceremony in Nanning, the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, where organizers also launched a new digital micro-drama initiative aimed at deepening cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN countries.

More than 150 guests attended the event, including diplomats from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Vietnam, representatives from Beijing's ASEAN-China Centre, media professionals, university and business delegates, award winners, and young people from China and ASEAN countries.

The new ASEAN-China Digital & Intelligent Creation and Communication Program for Micro-Dramas was unveiled during the ceremony. Open to creators from participating countries, the initiative encourages the use of artificial intelligence-generated content throughout the creative process to promote innovation in regional cultural production.
