Venezuelan acting president says earthquake death toll rises to 589 with 2,980 injured

CARACAS - The death toll from earthquakes in Venezuela rose to 589, with 2,980 injured, acting President Delcy Rodriguez said early Friday.

She added that 214 aftershocks have occurred so far.
