State Grid Chongqing completes first annual maintenance of Yubei converter station

In preparation for the summer demand period, State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has completed the first annual maintenance of its Yubei converter station. This effort involved over 2,000 inspection and maintenance tasks, reducing equipment risks and boosting the station’s operational reliability. [Photo by Zhang Lei/For chinadaily.com.cn]

The Yubei station's low-voltage sections were activated in June 2025, followed by the high-voltage sections in December. Since then, over 25 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity have been transmitted to Chongqing.
