A book that presents extensive evidence of war crimes committed by the Japanese Imperial Army's Unit 731 — including heretofore unreleased historical photos — was released by an important museum on Sunday in Harbin, Heilongjiang province.
Titled Black Box 731, the book, written by Jin Chengmin, was presented by the Exhibition Hall of Evidences of Crime Committed by Unit 731. It features a narrative style that blends historical documentation with literary storytelling to piece together the shocking deeds of Japanese Unit 731, which used human subjects in experiments during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45). It also touches other key issues.
